Addison, TX, December 9, 2019 – An investment group comprised of the stockholders of Western Electrical Services, Inc. (WES); Rob Coomes, WES vice president of Engineering Services; Mose Ramieh III, former owner of Power & Generation Testing; and Denise Green of Circuit Breaker Sales announce the acquisition of Powertech Services, Inc., a NETA-accredited company (NAC) located in central Michigan.
Operating out of facilities in Swartz Creek, MI, Powertech Services has offered electrical testing and maintenance services for switchgear, substations, and other power distribution equipment, per ANSI and NETA standards, for more than 25 years. The company’s NETA-certified technicians and engineers provide independent third-party testing and analysis to prevent electrical power problems through routine testing, preventive maintenance, acceptance testing, engineering studies, remanufacturing, and safety training.
Powertech Services will continue to provide a wide variety of electrical services to industrial companies, hospitals, water treatment facilities, data centers, foundries, and other facilities.
The new ownership group is proud to announce that Kirk Dyszlewski will continue as northern regional business development executive for Powertech Services and Group CBS, and that Ramieh III has been named president of the company. Coomes will initiate Powertech Services’ engineering services, which will include electrical power system studies such as arc-flash hazard analysis, short circuit and coordination studies, power quality analysis, load flow studies, and forensic analysis.
Powertech Services will benefit from access to one of the nation’s largest inventories of electrical equipment through the Group CBS network of electrical equipment sales and service affiliates. In addition to Powertech Services, Group CBS field service partner companies include Western Electrical Services’ five field service locations in the western U.S. and the Johnstown, PA, field service center of Circuit Breaker Sales Northeast.
“This acquisition represents the next step in Group CBS’s ongoing expansion strategy,” says Ashley Ledbetter, vice president of Group CBS. “And we’re not done yet. Stay tuned for more big things.”
