As a provider of complete electrical solutions, Group CBS knows the importance of testing to ensure safe and reliable electrical operations. That’s why we love attending NETA’s PowerTest conference, where dozens of equipment manufacturers and other industry resources focused on electrical testing come together to demonstrate new products and answer questions. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and events at PowerTest 2025. In case you missed it, here are some highlights from our time at the show.
The Award Goes to …
We were proud to see several of our team members recognized for their expertise and dedication with awards from NETA.
Group CBS president Ashley Ledbetter was honored as Alliance Partner of the Year for her close partnership with NETA. Under Ashley’s leadership, Group CBS has long been committed to supporting the association and its mission to provide education, standards development, accreditation of organizations, and certification of technicians. We look forward to continuing to work together to advance the power distribution industry.
Laura McDonald, marketing manager at Group CBS, not only helped us put on a great show, but was presented with the Appreciation of Service to the Association award for her work supporting NETA on their association events over the past two years. The recognition for her dedication to ensuring the success of our companies and the association is well deserved.
Dave Kreger, executive director of customer solutions at Premier Power Maintenance, gave a number of presentations at this year’s event and his session on the impact of NFPA changes to electrical safety in the workplace was named Best Safety Presentation at the conference. With more than 30 years in the industry, Dave has gained extensive experience in the field that he shares with fellow technicians through training and consulting.
We hope you enjoyed some mojitos, expertly rolled cigars, and games at our Miami Nights-themed hospitality suite party, which was named Best Late-Night Suite at PowerTest!
Circuit Breaker and Maintenance Experts
The trade show and panel discussions at PowerTest provide an excellent opportunity to share challenges and opportunities and allow us to learn from each other and industry experts. We had great discussions with attendees at our booth and Group CBS experts participated in sessions on NFPA changes and the latest developments in circuit breakers, while our founder, Finley Ledbetter, presented a workshop on life extension for low- and medium-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and attended our sessions. Contact us if you have any follow up questions or would like to discuss your projects with our experts.
New Products Shaping Power Systems
The New Product Forum is a great opportunity to see the latest and greatest electrical products. Vacuum Interrupters was on hand to introduce the LRTS10 micro-ohmmeter, which enables a single technician to easily conduct contact resistance tests on electrical equipment. Contact us to learn more.
If you’re interested in our new switchgear offerings we presented at the forum, which include secondary bus enclosures, switchboards, panelboards, and medium-voltage switchgear, visit this page for more information and to contact us.
