The team at R&B Switchgear Group recently conducted the final inspection and testing of 3 x heritage Whipp & Bourne DV40 Circuit Breakers, ready for them to be returned to the energy client and reinstated back into their power network. 👏
Originally manufactured in 1990, these circuit breakers had reached what should have been the end of their life-cycle after being in service for over 30 years.
However, following a complete overhaul by our specialist engineers, which involved stripping down the equipment and rebuilding it to as-good-as-new condition, with new vacuum bottles from Vacuum Interrupters, the circuit breakers are now ready for another 30+ years of service!
